A little while back, I had an online order from my website for a set of "Storm in a Teacup"cups.  It was a gift for a 21st birthday so it came with a request to be customised in any way I felt would fit within the design.  I painted a subtle "E" initial on the top of the handles and "Happy 21st" on the base of them all.  "A Storm is brewing" teapot was also made to match the pair of "Storm in a teacup" cups.

The feedback was so lovely from them that they have even asked for another pair of teacups, sugar bowl and creamer to complete the set.

In the new year I was approached about a commission for Gapyear.com, working on a very quick turn around the 100,000 run of the magazine is now out and about to get muddy paws on.

The magazine is so inspiring, full of beautiful photography capturing the wonders waiting to be experienced.  I was very excited to get on board with this team to illustrate for it, however I am slightly disappointed about the lack of living koala bear I was promised as part of the package Macca!!

IP1 On the Record

I was given a difficult article to illustrate again this issue, covering three case studies about young offenders and the impact on their future.  No visuals jumped out at me for ages so in the end I decided to think a little more out of the box.  Magpies.  They like stealing (pretty) things.  The classic stripped attire that convicts wear, so Mr Magpie's chest got dressed in stripes.  To top him off I created a fox/shadow type daemon that engulfed him until he shed his troubles and flew into a colourful future!!

Elsie's Den for Frankie Leigh

Frankie Leigh has just released her cushions from the "Elsie's Den" collection on Etsy.  These beautiful hand made cushions feature a woodland animal on the front and ticking fabric on the reverse.  She keeps them unique by never repeating the same colourway.
These cushions will soon also feature in a window display at LoveOne in Ipswich in a few months time.  But until then you can by from Etsy here.

Once the name of "Elsie's Den" came about, Frankie requested my services to make the logo for the collection.  Knowing Frankie well, I decided to use her love for keys as my basis for the design, then linking in the initials to complete the key. x

Barefoot & Liberty

I was honoured to be approached a while back by a very talented quilt maker (and cake maker!) to design her a logo for her company "Barefoot & Liberty".  Her inspiration is drawn from the beauty around her and of the 1940s-1950s era.  Her quilts are stunning, with so much love and time put into them, she even makes personal commissioned ones on request.

Pretty New Pets

Spoilt rotten again this year with beautiful beasts, here are just a few:

Amazing pencils that I framed: "Design is dead, long live the pencil".  My brand new pet, we had to turn the lights down and the music though...

Beautiful set of drawers made from old wooden rulers.  My new pet whistling and dancing away in his carry box, must not be fed after might night!!

The Butterfly & The Wolf

I have been working on a logo for photographer's new website.  Luke Ward approached me with a very inspiring name of The Butterfly & The Wolf, instantly summing up beautiful imagery in my mind, I jumped at the chance to try and capture this.

Taken directly from it's name, the logo is a marriage of a spread winged butterfly and two howling wolf heads amongst a rainbow of ink blots.
