Pirate Pouch

Every pirate needs a little leather coin pouch...so I had to nip one of these together for the pirate man. Men always have loose change, which only ends up falling out of pockets or into the wrong hands... no more 50p's for me...

My cloud of happiness

Cathy, the owner of LoveOne rung me yesterday to tell me a lovely reaction to my work.
A woman picked up one of my little hanging clouds:

"Your little cloud of happiness.
Remember, something good
will come from the bad.
Every cloud...x"

The lady started crying in the shop explaining to Cathy this is exactly what she needed to send to her brother who was having a rough time. My cloud critter said what she felt she could not.
Hearing this really touched me, I hope my cloud cheers him up even if it is just a little.x

April Showers in LoveOne

Today I put up my first ever window display at LoveOne on St Peters Street in Ipswich.
Goodies which are being sold include:
A selection of greeting cards
"Got your head in the clouds" cushion,
"Every cloud has a silver lining" cushion,
"Storm in a teacup" cup and saucers,
"Pitter patter raindrop cups" glasses,
"Hang in there" silver lined mini clouds,
and you can even adopt a little raindrop.

If you are about in Ipswich over the next few weeks pop down and have a look. LoveOne is the ideal shop for little gifts or homewares with a differance. It stocks alot of locally created pieces from other artists and designers so not only would you be buying a product, but you may also be buying a piece of art in itself...x

Join LoveOne's group on facebook to keep up to date with new stock and events:

Storm in a Teacup

As part of the bits I am making for LoveOne, cups & saucers were a request. All are hand painted and individual. These will be in store from tomorrow. I shall post up more images once the window display is complete...

Clouds are not made from candy floss

I am selling some goodies at LoveOne next week and as an introduction to PixiBones and my work Cathy (owner of LoveOne) has asked me to do a window display too. I am super excited about both aspects...so inbetween interning for Beyond the Valley and personal work I have also been making bits for the window, here is a suitcase full of little parts...

Rainy Days

I have always loved and wanted a little pet cloud. My clouds have been really popular recently, selling at the craft fair and soon to be sold at an independent boutique. However, several years back I made my first cloud, I created it for a dear friend who shared my love for rain. I also made a special critter named MyK. Both plushies are about three years old now so a little grey from being loved....x

My Giraffe is one in a million

I created Phillipe the French Giraffe a while back, although he is still one of my favourite illustrations. Amongst my surfing on the interweb I came across this site http://www.onemilliongiraffes.com/
It is a giraffe collection site, a bank full of hand made giraffes, and a bet to collect one million giraffes by 2011. Phillipe helped it along by one but 285 327 more are needed with 268 days left to go... load up your own and be part of the rather unusual giraffe club!!
You can see Phillipe here:

Catch of the day...

Whilst making bits and bobs I found myself making goldfish out of some orange pvc stuff I had about. I also had some net type fabric which I made into a drawstring bag for my fishies to live in. I had the same fabric in blues so decided to make a dolphin, seal and whale too....
Bit of a pointless creation but it was fun!!

Happy Shopper

Type fanatic the "Lozzbery" purchased some PixiBones goodies at the fair. Once in their new home, along with his other purchases, they were captured and put on his blog :)
Really appreciate his support...check out his blog of interests, snazzy photography and some tasty type.

Lozz and I are soon to collaborate on a piece combining our type and craft skills...Think this is going to be a fun one....watch this space!
