I make fun stuff 2nd fair

In between doing the Lazy Oaf internship I was trying to prepare new stock for my first ever craft fair. Put on by "I make fun stuff" at Ipswich Town hall Saturday 27th March.
I was extremely nervous as I didn't know what to expect or how people would react to my creations. As it happened, it sent down really well, and got some great feedback especially on my Toadstool dinner set.
New items will be added to my online shop very shortly...

Lazy Oaf Internship

I have been in London over the past three weeks working at Lazy Oaf's studio. It was an amazing experience working behind the scenes seeing the talented Gemma creating new illustrations for up and coming collaborations and new stationary and collections.

For those who don't know, Lazy Oaf is a small fashion label which is now sold world wide and has expanded from t-shirts to all sorts of exciting goodies, jewellery, hats, stationary, badges, bags....and now even cushions! My crafty skills came in handy during my period there where I made some cushions to brighten up the studio. The guys loved them so asked me to make some for their shop, just off Carnaby Street. They went down so well there they also got me to make some for their online shop...

As well as creating cushions, making up jewellery and photographing stock for the site I also had the job of creating uses for Gemma's postcard book, cutting them up to make bird boxes and towers.

I had a great time, Thank you to all you Lazy Oafs, I shall miss you x

PixiBones Tea Party

For the craft market I have hand painted each letter of the Alphabet in my PixiBones font. Upper case on one side, and lower case on the reverse.

PixiBones Mew cup

I have a stall at next months I Make Fun Stuff Craft Market at Ipswich Town Hall.
I am in the process of making bits and bobs for it, this mew cup being one of them. Hand painted on porcelain.

You can book a stall and find out more info on their site:

Meerkats at Dusk

As part of a Christmas present to my Dad and his Wife I said I would paint them something of their choice. They wanted a painting for their spare room, which is in purples, peaches and reds. My dad is a huge fan of meerkats, so it only seemed right to use them as my content.
I will post up a photograph of it in it's new home when I get a chance.
